Grace Olivia Turns 1!

I love it when my couples come back and share their children with me! Owen & Gretchen had one of my most memorable weddings in Sedona. They are the ones walking down the red dirt road on the website. Their wedding was probably one of the most pure and simple weddings I have ever been too. Gretchen was so laid back she literally walked out of the bathroom with two dresses in her hand and asked her sister which one...she wore one she picked up at Last Chance for $30. It was stunning on her and you would have never known. She then was open to walking down a red dirt road in it before her wedding, now that is guts and I thank them for it because I have some of my most memorable pictures from that day.

Fast forward two years and meet Grace Olivia. Okay so those who know the meaning behind my company name O Grace know that it is after my daughter Olivia Grace...hummmm coincidence???? Well let's just say within seconds of getting out of the car Gretchen was trying to convince me they liked it because it was their initials and that she is not "single white female". I pretended like I bought her story, but really it's okay Gretchen a lot of people want to be like me and it is good to have goals! hahaha

Seriously it is an honor and I have had a few couples use part of the name for their kids and it always makes me happy. When I first came up with the name it was not popular at all and everyone asked if I was going to call her Olive or if it was after the mom on the show the Waltons! I seriously had no reason I just liked the name and it was not common like Jennifer & Mike. That was until about 10 seconds after Olivia was born and Nordstroms rolled out the Olivia the Pig books and it became one of the most popular girl names. Oh well for trying to be original! I give up.

So Grace Olivia lives up to the name. She is so cute and curious. I could have shot her all day long and had such a hard time picking my favorites. The one weird thing is, you will notice Gretchen has the most beautiful naturally curly hair and Grace Olivia's hair is strait....Olivia Grace on the other hand has an afro...something is backwards with this!

She was trying to decide if she wanted to go with me or those people who had been following her around for the past year. Unfortunately I lost (just wait until she finds out about the orange tic tacs...she will love me like all the other kids do)

Love the white dress!
Grace just loved this bunny and they kept trying to take it away for pictures and she kept going back to it. I think it gives the pictures a very timeless look.
